Pizhichil, also known as Kaya Seka, is a unique and rejuvenating Ayurvedic therapy in which warm medicated oil is continuously poured over the body while gentle massage is performed simultaneously.

Pizhichil, also known as Kaya Seka, is a unique and rejuvenating Ayurvedic therapy in which warm medicated oil is continuously poured over the body while gentle massage is performed simultaneously. It is considered a combination of Snehana (oleation) and Swedana (sudation) therapies. The word Pizhichil originates from the Malayalam term meaning "to squeeze." During this treatment, warm medicated oils are gently squeezed and streamed continuously over the body.

Procedure
.The patient is made to lie comfortably on a Droni (Ayurvedic treatment table).
.Suitable medicated oils are selected according to the disease condition and heated to a lukewarm temperature.
.A team of therapists continuously pours and squeezes the warm oil over the body using pieces of cloth while simultaneously performing gentle synchronized massage.
.The procedure is carried out in different body positions to ensure uniform application of oil.
.The treatment generally lasts for 45–60 minutes and may be continued for several days based on the physician's advice.
.After the procedure, the patient is advised to rest and take a warm bath.
